ENGINE SPINS, BUT WILL NOT START.
1.Check fuel level, cutoff valve if equipped.
2.Take spark plug out[ you will need either  a three
quarter, five eights or eleven sixteenths socket and ratchet].
Put spark plug back in ignition wire, touch against metal of
engine, as in photo, turn engine by starter[ if equipped] or by
pull rope,  watch for spark.

               NO SPARK
Disconnect wire shown in photo,actually
its the ground wire to the coil, found on all
engines, around flywheel cover, if in
doubt unplug all except the ones that
goes to the carburetor, wires that is.
SPIN ENGINE BY SWITCH OR PULL ROPE
AND CHECK FOR SPARK.
       IF SPARKS
PUT SPARK PLUG BACK IN AND SEE
CARBURETOR SECTION.
             IF SPARKS
With wire disconnected, means you have a
bad safety switch, engine will crank and
run at this point, but will not shut off by
switch or normal means, until you have
plugged wire back in, located bad safety
switch and bypassed it or replaced it.
             NO SPARK
WITH WIRE DISCONNECTED MEANS YOU
MOST LIKELY HAVE A BAD IGNITION COIL,
IT WILL BE SHOP TIME, TO AGGRAVATING
FOR COMMON REPAIR.
ARROWS IN PHOTOS POINT TO WIRE TO
DISCONNECT,if in doubt unplug all except
one going to carb.

SEE SAFETY SWITCHES.
