AND IS NOW CONSIDERED TO BE OLD
STYLE. GO CARTS, TILLERS, AIR
COMPRESSORS ARE SOME OF THE
EQUIPMENT IT WILL BE FOUND ON.
THE NEW STYLE HORIZONTAL
ENGINES ESPECIALLY GENERATORS
WILL COME WITH ENGINES WITH THE
BOWL TYPE CARBURETORS.[ SEE
BOWL TYPE CARBS].



THE SECOND PHOTO SHOWS A
BREAKDOWN OF THIS TYPE CARB,
AFTER SEVERAL YEARS, OR NOT
QUITE SO LONG, THE DIAPHRAGM
WILL WEAKEN CAUSING THE ENGINE
TO STOP RUNNING AFTER BURNING A
HALF TANK OF FUEL, SEE ARROW
POINTING TO DIAPHRAM.THIS CAN
USUALLY BE REPLACED WITH CARB
STILL ON ENGINE., ALSO MOISTURE
WILL BUILD UP IN THIS TYPE TANK
AND UNFORTUNATELY IT HAS TO BE
TAKEN OFF ENGINE TO DRAIN TANK.     
 
IF ENGINE BURNS HALF TANK OF FUEL
AND STOPS, FILL COMPLETELY FULL
TO TOP, IF ENGINE RUNS MOST
LIKELY YOU NEED TO CHANGE THE
DIAPHRAGM, IF NOT SEE THE
PROFESSIONALS, YOU HAVE MADE A
COMMON CHECK AND POSSIBLE
REPAIR. NOTE; DIAPHRAGM IS MADE
OF  PLIABLE RUBBER, AND THE ONE IN
PHOTO IS BAD BY THE WAY.
