| CARBURETORS OF THIS TYPE ARE FOUND ON MOST OF YOUR DEPARTMENT STORE PUSH MOWERS NOWADAYS,after one or two years of usage, the mower may run, but will run rough or only run a few seconds after priming with primer button. Replace carburetor and run a few more years. The carb and tank are held on by two bolts, one half inch, and three eights bolt on front, see orange arrow it points to governor spring, keep in mind how it hooks Up.AFTER LOOSENING two bolts, tank will slide off towards you .THERE ARE FIVE PHILLIPS HEAD SCREWS THAT HOLD the carb onto the tank, remove them and carburetor will separate from tank. NOTE; It is best to get replacement carb before removing carburetor from tank, so as to familiarize yourself with the two gaskets screen and spring. The replacement carb will come with instructions on installing carb, by the way the usual retail price of this whole carburetor is$18.00 to$23.00. Also clean tank out while you have apart, most likely it will have water in it, if it has been outside in weather for and amount of time |

| NOTE; Carburetor can be removed without removing flywheel cover , Most of TODAYS engines come with some sort of plastic cover, over metal cover, they are usually attached with one quarter inch screws or nuts, easy enough to remove,and the metal cover is attached with seven sixteenths bolts or three eights bolts, which you can remove with that particular size socket and ratchet. It must be removed to replace pull rope. SEE REPLACE PULL ROPE. |
